Our Mission
The Gandhi World Hunger Fund mission is to help relieve the suffering and distress of needy children and their families throughout the world. We do this by supporting programs and operations that meet our rescue goals:
• Provide Essential Food Supplies - deliver direct assistance to needy children and their families in partnership with local communities in which they live.
• Deliver Life-saving Emergency Relief - provide food, clothing, shelter, training and education to areas of world plagued by civil strife, war, and natural disasters such as floods and famine.
• Prevent and Reverse Starvation – offer education, nutrition, and material support to pregnant and nursing mothers with young children to help prevent low birth weight and stunted development.
• Eradicate Curable Diseases – distribute effective medications and medical services to suffering children and their families in rural areas where a simple treatment can mean the difference between life and death.
• Promote Community Health - educate families on hygiene and basic food preparation practices that will help ensure lasting benefit from our outreaches.
