A Gandhi World Hunger Fund believes strongly in adoption and many of the programmes we partner with provide children for adoption. However, we are not an adoption agency.
Q Can I volunteer for a Gandhi World Hunger Fund overseas project?
A No, we do not have volunteer opportunities available in our overseas project work. In line with our mission of supporting local programmes and encouraging self-sufficiency, we seek to send as few non-native workers as possible and employ national staff wherever we can. Whenever we do send in non-native workers, they are all qualified and experienced professionals, with specific areas of expertise not available locally.

A We understand how you feel, and we are working to provide more news and facts in our newsletters, follow-up mailings, and on the website. However, Dr. Gandhi loves children and he sees so many hungry, dying and abused children that he does get emotional – and he knows that unless we communicate the needs graphically, some people will just not respond. However, when you get a letter that you feel is offensive, please take the time to comment on it and tell us specifically what makes you feel uncomfortable. We do read every letter that comes to us on the web and in the mail and we do appreciate it when you as a contributor share your feelings.
